Well, here it is – a first look at our yummy comb honey from Gonzales County. While it was predominantly Mesquite, there is some wildflower mixed into the honey as well. Whatever the balance is, it was very delicious when I got to taste it last week as it was being bottled. We finished the first round of extraction but there is still some bottling to be completed. We’re hoping the bit of rain we recently got will bring out some food sources for the bees and that they will continue making more honey. Maybe we’ll have a second round of extraction – come on girls; you can do it! 🙂
In case you are wondering, the “P” stands for the Pizza bee yard out in Gonzales. It has been one of our best producing yards. Those little bees are sure hardworking girls.
