Hello everyone. It’s a chilly, damp night here in Seguin but we are snug as bugs in rugs in our Bee Ranch. Along with our sweet, slightly under the weather kitty, we are cheering our Spurs on against the Lakers. Hope they win.
It is wonderful to be home and reunited with my beekeeper – sure did miss him and home though it was wonderful to see my family in NC. We are blessed that our families love what we do almost as much as we do and often help us either at events or through ideas for products and packaging. They also often serve as part of our focus group members for feedback. 🙂 Love the familia!
This week, Mark’s spending mornings at the Honey House on Krezdorn to filter more beeswax. We are thrilled that people are enjoying the beeswax products so much. We even picked up some more wax from our friend south of SA in order to make it through the coming year and have plenty of wax. My sisters and I are excited about the new pillars Mark has developed during my week away! Can’t wait to finish test burns and photo shoots. We’ll get them all on the website as soon as possible since we know a lot of people are already Christmas shopping! I admit it…I have also and I am excited about some of our new packaging ideas. We’ll be trying some of it this coming Saturday at the Pearl market.
Speaking of markets, just wanted to mention that Mark has us confirmed for Yulefest here in Seguin! Yay! Hope the heater is fixed this year. I recall lighting candles last year just to warm our hands a bit. 🙂 The event will be December 2 at the Seguin Coliseum, from 10am to 4pm. Hope to see you there. I’ll provide more information as the date draws nearer.
In other exciting news before we head to bed, Mark bought us a nice new bee net. It’s our first one. We will use it when go pick up bees in future. In the past, we’ve relied on the generosity of other beekeeping friends when we needed a net. Thanks, friends! Now we just need a truck and trailer. And maybe a fork lift. I better get my letter to Santa written.
