GBR site - we are LIVE!

Today has been a super great day for so many reasons! First off, it’s our tenth anniversary – it’s been awesome! I took the day off from work and got to spend all day with Mark and the bee biz. Nice start, right? Well, then we had a very good meeting with a potential partner (more on that later). Then, our new website actually went LIVE! We are thrilled – check out the new Gretchen Bee Ranch website and tell us what you think. We hope you like it as much as we do. Our web designer, Troy, did a great job. We feel he really captured our personalities and our vision, even in the beginning when we were not even sure how exactly the site should look. When we saw the first draft of it, we fell in love.

You’ll be happy to hear that online shopping is now available for honey, beeswax products, beekeeping class AND an opportunity to sponsor a hive (Intrigued? Read about it please!). Check out the Hives & Bees page and you can get read up on the basics of beekeeping, as well as watch a few videos of the funny things bees do. Okay, I’ll stop here or else I’ll point you to every single section on that site. Please explore it and let us know if you have any questions. Enjoy and as always, thanks for all your support! Now, we’re off to our dinner.

Mike & Susan are super nice!

We are very happy to share with you our newest retail outlet in Seguin – Maldonado’s! We were thrilled when they approached us about partnering up and having our products at their Highway 90 location. If you have not been there lately, you should stop by this Saturday as they are having their Spring Fling event – huge. We decided we are going. I would really like to get some kind of garden in this year, especially tomatoes. I have been pretty disappointed with our store bought tomatoes and I don’t want to go the entire summer with tasteless tomatoes. There are some lovely herbs we saw when we did a really QUICK preview the other day when we dropped off the honey. It was too chilly to wander around as I didn’t have my jacket with me. If you want to see a burgundy bluebonnet, that’s the place to go. 🙂 Very pretty.

mooJesus! Dairy

We are very happy to announce another location where you can find our honey and bee skep candles – mooJesus! Dairy, located at 12061 FM 466 in the lovely Capote Ranch area. It’s a great drive out there and I can’t wait for spring to come along and make everything green again. That should make for some lovely shots when we go to restock there. We first visited the dairy farm with our Austin and Bertram family members last year and liked it. For more information about the farm, please check out their great website. When we went on the weekend, there was a wagon ride around the property, including the beautiful riverfront on the property. Really nice! There is so much going on there, I won’t even attempt to list all things here but I will mention that on weekends you can visit, dine and shop in addition to checking out the activities scheduled for the day. It’s a very peaceful environment and the people are wonderful – we are so happy to have partnered with yet another great business!
